After four years of late-night study sessions, papers, and projects I am proud to say that I have received my Bachelor of Arts Degree from Widener University. Being the overachiever I am, I majored in Communication Studies with a concentration in Advertising and Public Relations and a minor in Marketing.

Despite my high work load and many extracurriculars, I was able to finish my degree with a 3.9 grade point average, thus graduating Summa Cum Laude.

I am so honored to have been able to study with such amazing Professors and Faculty. These individuals championed my success and allowed me to bolster my skills as a communicator and prepared me to enter the world of nonprofit communications. I could not me more thankful for my friends, family, and professors who supported me throughout my academic career.

While attending Widener University I was able to participate in a variety of extracurricular activities which provided me with lifelong friendships, volunteer and career experiences, and of course, many stoles and chords!

Upon graduating I was recognized for my participation in the following extracurricular activities as well as my academic performance.

Commencement Awards and Recognitions

Difference Maker Award

Due to my four years of participation in Widener University's Civic and Global Engagement Program and my many volunteering efforts through that program, I was recognized with the 'Difference Maker Award.' My fellow Civic Engagement Scholars voted to recognize me with this award which makes it all the more meaningful.

Alpha Phi Omega

Continuing with volunteer recognitions, I was also recognized for my participation in Alpa Phi Omega, National Service Fraternity. By being a part of this fraternity I was able to continue my volunteerism alongside likeminded students who shared my passion for service.

Honors School of Business Administration

As part of my business curriculum associated with my marketing minor, I was privileged to be part of the Honors School of Business Administration. This required me to partake in higher level courses, including a graduate level course, and participating in the Oskin Leadership Program all while maintaining a Grade Point Average above 3.5.

Honors Program in General Education

Continuing with Academic Awards, a major part of my curriculum consisted of General Education Honors Courses which required increased attention and effort. As part of this program, I was expected to take 5 Honors General Education Courses and one Colloquia as well as attend several out of the classroom activities.

Commencement Award for Excellence in Communication Studies

Finally, I will end with the award I am the most proud of. In recognition of my cumulative efforts in my studies and my participation outside of the classroom in leadership role as President of Widener's Public Relations Student Society Chapter, I was honored, alongside my peer and friend Zora Designora, for our excellence in the school of Communication Studies. Together we had co-run our PRSSA chapter, mentored fellow communication students, taught freshman seminar classes, and even written a College textbook chapter, an effort which we were rewarded for at the Summer Undergraduate Research and Creative Activities Symposium. Our collective efforts in our personal, academic, and professional careers were honored with this award. I am so thankful to be recognized alongside Zora for our academic performance and our passion for communications. We started our academic career together and ended it together, and I could not be more grateful.
