Students Save Lives Campaign

Gift of Life Donor Program encourages college clubs, organizations, and PRSSA Chapters across our region to help save lives by raising awareness and encouraging their campus communities to register as organ donors.

The College Challenge is an exciting way for students to plan, promote, and execute virtual and grassroots campus outreach efforts aimed at registering new organ, tissue, and cornea donors. Participating student groups will keep track of their efforts and submit a scorecard for their chance at first, second, and third prizes, as well as a prize for the most newly registered donors.

Widener's PRSSA chapter was able to encourage over 30 new donors to register and led many informational campaigns surrounding organ donation including testimonials, tabling events, and social media campaigns.  

For our 2023 campaign, I will be leading the campaign as PRSSA president and have dedicated my senior capstone project to registering new donors and combatting misconceptions around organ donation. This campaign will be executed in April of 2023 and will consist of many different events to promote organ donation all based on extensive primary and secondary research collection.
